Project Update Two waves of telephone interviews have been completed in 97 counties located in 36 states; these counties were selected to represent the Child Welfare System (CWS) in the United States as a whole. Over 1,100 agency staff and administrators participated in the CCCW interviews. The Wave 1 response rate was 84.6%, while the Wave 2 rate increased to 92.6%. The number of interviewees required to complete the surveys varied widely by county, from 1 informant in a small, rural county, to 38 informants in a large, urban county. The average number of informants was 12.3 informants (median of 13). |
