Mental Health Services Across Child Welfare Agencies (R01)

Principal Investigator: John Landsverk

Funding: NIMH (6/99-5/04, $3,023,550)

Examines the impact of placement types and changes in the child welfare system on children's receipt of mental health services within the context of state and regional variation of mental health care policies, structure and fiscal support. This is a collaboratibe study with the University of Pittsburgh (Kelleher and Kolko), Duke University (Burns and Fairbank) and Research Triangle Institute (Beimer and Griffith). The study is linked to the national longitudinal study of child welfare which will enroll 6,000 children and their families in a three year cohort study.
