Enrollment Contract Performance Evaluation for Healthy Families/Medi-Cal for Children

Principal Investigator: John Landsverk

Funding: California State Department of Health Services (11/00-03/01, $185,785)

This contract is evaluating the two year performance of the 72 outreach and enrollment contractors for Healthy Families (federally funded Child Health Insurance Program). The evaluation is a combined project of the CASRC and the Center for Child Health Outcomes at Children's Hospital - San Diego. Study analyses of contractor performance is using merged data from the following sources: 1) quantitative data on applications and enrollment from the overall state contractor, 2) abstracted data from contractor proposals and quarterly reports, and 3) qualitative data from key informant interviews with all contractors.
