and the Exceptional Family Resource Center
The purpose of the contract is to develop service delivery
and quality assurance plans as well as assessment tools that
will provide periodic evaluation of the Integrated Continuum
of Services to ensure its effectiveness.
Integrated Continuum of Services is a project of the Center
for Families of Children with Special Needs at the University
of San Diego, in collaboration with the Exceptional Family
Resource Center, and the Child and Adolescent Services Research
Center. Integrated Continuum of Services is:
• A cost free, innovative approach to support families
by bringing together resources at one location
• A process that incorporates up to four types of services
(family support, education advocacy, health consultations
and family counseling) according to a family’s specific
needs
• A comprehensive approach to assist families to cope
more effectively with the challenges and needs unique to having
a child with a disability
